The OSI Food Solutions Facilities Are Making The World A Better Place

The OSI Food Solution Group is a premiere global food provider helping prospective companies in the retail and food industries bring their concepts into fruition. Founded in Chicago and headquartered in Aurora, Illinois, there are approximately 20,000 employees who work for this company.

This company recently purchased the Tyson Foods plant, which is a 200,000-square-foot facility, located in the Back of the Yard neighborhood (Stockyards) on 4201 South Ashland (an industrial area on the South Side of Chicago) for approximately $7.4 million. Many of the 250 Tyson employees were offered jobs to work at the OSI Food Solutions Group. Some have taken those positions. The senior executive vice president of the OSI Food Solutions Group North America, Kevin Scott, said in a June 8th announcement, “This facility enhances our capabilities to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our customers.” This shows that a lot of companies are interested in what this company has to offer since many consumers benefit directly and indirectly.

The Chicago purchase shows that this company is constantly growing not just here in the United States but across the world. The OSI Food Solutions Group has 60 facilities in 17 countries, including Australia, Austria, India, Japan, Hungary, Germany, China, Canada, Brazil, Taiwan, Spain, Ukraine, Netherlands, Philippines, United Kingdom and the United States. It received the 2016 Globe of Honour by the British Safety Council in the UK for providing excellent environmental management.

There is a very big world out there accommodating the OSI Food Solutions Group. This large company will now focus on creating a variety of meat products, such as breakfast sausages and bacon, that will get manufactured at the Chicago plant. Definitely a power player in the food service industry.

OSI Food Solutions Group focuses on providing excellence by always delivering high-class solutions that help companies produce and distribute food across the globe.
